Francis Wilcox, 78, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Francis &8220;Frank&8221; M. Wilcox, age 78, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Young and Deacon Jake Loper will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

Frank died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Francis Merlyn Wilcox was born May 12, 1928, to Frank and Leila (Clink) Wilcox in International Falls. He came to Albert Lea at the age of 9 and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1946. On March 3, 1951, Frank was united in marriage to Kathlyn &8220;Kay&8221; Ritacco in Virginia, Minn. He drove cabs for Yellow Cab in the early years before going to work for the Canteen Co. as a serviceman for 25 years. During this time, Frank also owned and operated Crown Billiards from 1969 to 1976. After retiring, he drove a school bus and a cab for Quality Cab Co. Frank was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Eagles. Frank enjoyed bowling and playing pinball and pool.

Survivors include his children: Lynda and husband, Thomas Dahl of Albert Lea, Frank Jr. and special friend, Deb Harpel of Albert Lea, Lynel and husband, Gary Deyo of Austin, and Lynae and husband, Mike Anderson of Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren: Allan and wife, Lisa Carey, Amy Lyn Rye, Mic Wilcox, Tyler and wife, Crystal Wilcox, Ben Anderson, and Lissa and husband, Eric McKnight; great-grandchildren: Derek, Anna, Kaylyn, and Kyndra; and nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; son-in-law, Dennis Rye; daughter-in-law, Pamela Wilcox; brother, Larry; and step brother, Marvin.
