It took four extra innings but the Glenville-Emmons Legion baseball team was able to pick up its second win of the season over Dodge Center. G-E scored in the top of the 11th and held on for the 2-1 victory.

Devin Kaasa walked to begin the 11th, stole second and moved to third on an error. Both Wade and Justin Flattum walked to load the bases and Kaasa scored on a botched suicide squeeze attempt thanks to a throwing error.

and third situation with two outs in the ninth but could not score the winning run.

G-E’s other run came in the third when Wade Flattum singled and Justin Flattum drove him in with a triple.

G-E’s defense was solid despite committing four errors. Wade Flattum threw out four baserunners from his catcher position, and Jarrad Knutson made several strong plays at third base.

Kaasa and Bridger Bjorklund combined for the win allowing just seven hits and one earned run, which came in the second inning, in 11 frames.
