New Richland wins, 7-5

The New Richland Legion took on Blooming Prairie Friday night in New Richland where the home team won a 7-5 decision.
After B.P. went down in order in the top of the first, Post 75 used three hits, two walks and an
error to plate two runs.
Blooming Prairie scored two runs in the top of the second inning. Josh Churchill brought the next run home with a sacrifice fly to give New Richland a 3-2 lead after two complete.
After B.P. scored their third run, N.R. came storming back scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
Four base on balls along with two base hits gave N.R. a 7-3 lead.
New Richland left 10 runners on base for the game. Blooming Prairie closed out the scoring with single runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
Tory Somage went 5 1/3 innings to pick up the victory.
He gave up eight hits and four runs while striking out three and no walks.
Joe McGuire tossed the final 1 2/3 innings to preserve the win.
Taylor Holland led the hitters going 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI. Churchill was 1-for-1 with two runs scored and an RBI.
