Each year Ag Star sponsors a 50-foot putting contest, this year the contest had its first winner.

Each player in the tournament gets a chance to qualify with a 25-foot putt and out of those who make it one name is drawn out of a hat for a chance at the 50-foot putt and $2,500.

This year Andy Vanhal, a farmer from the Geneva area, made the 50-foot putt for the grand prize.

&8220;I just smoked the putt, it hit the back of the cup and went in,&8221; Vanhal said of his winning effort. &8220;I thought it was going to skip over the hole as soon as I hit it.&8221;

Vanhal, who is still waiting to collect the money, said he is still not sure what he is going to do with the prize.
