MABEL &8212; The Glenville-Emmons softball team picked up its first win of the season Thursday at Mabel-Canton, 5-2.

G-E got on base with seven hits and used stolen bases to put pressure on its opponent which led to all its runs being scored on passed balls and wild pitches.

Molly Kral had two hits and scored twice while Lindsey Lorenzen had two hits including a double.

Lorenzen picked up the win pitching all seven innings giving up two unearned runs in the third inning. She strick out six and walked just one.

The Wolverines scored twice in the first inning and got single runs in the third, fifth and sixth.

G-E is now 1-2 on the season as it took part in the New Richland Tournament this weekend.
