Mandy Lynn Stern, age 24, of Wells, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at St. Marys Hospital, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with visitation Monday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. The Rev. Meg Sander will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.

Mandy Lynn Stern was born Aug. 8, 1982, the daughter of Lyle and Sharen (Zeise) Stern in Wells.

Mandy attended United South Central High School, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. She had worked at Golden Oval, Schweigert&8217;s and most recently at Casey&8217;s in Wells. Mandy enjoyed visiting with family and cruising around with her friends, and had a love for animals. She especially loved to watch her daughter Halie and niece Elizabeth play.

Mandy is survived by her daughter Halie, age 5 of Wells; her parents: Lyle and Sharen Stern of Wells; two brothers: Matt and his wife Kay Stern, Nate Stern and special friend Kim Haakensen, all of Wells, Minn.; one niece: Elizabeth Stern of Wells; godson: David Hermel of Waterville; maternal grandparents: Everett and Ruth Zeise of Byron, paternal grandmother: Rose Stern of Alden; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Heidi in infancy, maternal grandmother Vi Zeise, and paternal grandfather Merlin Stern.
