Ann Hintz, 73, Alden

Ann Marie Hintz, age 73, of Alden, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The Rev. Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Alden Cemetery.

Ann Marie Hintz was born on Sept. 6, 1933 in Bricelyn, the daughter of J.L. &8220;Chick&8221; and Dorothy (Kiihn) Fosness. She married Wesley Hintz on June 24, 1956, in Bricelyn. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in elementary education at Mankato State University and taught elementary education in Nicollet, Albert Lea North Side School and for many years at Alden-Conger until retiring in 1995. She taught piano lessons, was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden where she was a choir director, choir member, Altar Guild, Tuesday Study Club and Church council member. She was a member of the local Red Hat Society and the Alden American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed music, singing, sewing, reading, traveling, wintering in Arizona and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Wes Hintz of Alden; son Bill and wife Carrie of Alden; daughter Amy and husband Wayne Simoni of Joppa, Md.; grandson Sam and wife Michelle Hintz and their son Parker of Conger; grandson Tyler Hintz of Alden; grandson Matthew Simoni of Joppa, Md.; brother Larry and wife Corky Fosness of Kiester; niece Molly and husband Dan Gerrietts and their daughter Maggie of LeMars, Iowa; brother-in-law

Mark and wife Sue Hintz of Apple Valley; nephew Wade and wife Laura Hintz and their children Colton, Casey and Kyle of New Prague; niece: Jill and husband Chris Gottschalk of Little Falls; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents- mother and father-in-law Raymond- and Adelaide Hintz.
