Funeral services for Natasha E. Weigel, age 18, of Baldwin, Wis., and formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church. The Revs. David Hickman, John Hanson, and Glen Stevens will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Natasha died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul as a result of a car accident.

Natasha Elizabeth Weigel was born Aug. 12, 1988, to Doug and Jayne (Sorenson) Weigel in Frankfurt, Germany. She lived in Washington State for three years while her parents were in the military. They came to Albert Lea where Natasha attended school until seventh grade, when she moved to Baldwin, Wis., with her mom and attended Peace Lutheran Church. Natasha came back to Albert Lea as a junior in high school and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 2006. She had been a hockey player since the age of 8, playing for several years, and finishing her senior year as the goalie on the Girls&8217; Varsity Hockey Team. Natasha also loved music, hunting, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her friends and spending time in the tow truck with her Dad.

Survivors include her mother, Jayne and husband, Ken Rimer of Baldwin Wis., father Doug and wife, Christina Weigel of Albert Lea; siblings, Ken Rimer, James Rimer, and Darian, Darik, and Jaydon Weigel; grandparents: Audrey Sorenson, Mayelva and Ron Rimer, Robert and Linda Weigel, Linda McColloch, and Tony Garza; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Natasha was preceded in death by her grandfather, Howard Sorenson and her great-grandparents.

She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
