Bulldogs finish fifth at tourney

The Lake Mills wrestling team had a pair of champions at the Nashua-Plainfield Tournament as the team finished fifth out of 10 teams.
Stephan Schwartz at 135 and Eric Hagen at 189 were crowned individual champions as the Bulldogs had just eight wrestlers due to illness. The title was the second for Hagen in his career.
Wade Hebrink (125), Peter Brekken (152) and T.J. Ashley (285) both advanced to the championship round in their weight classes but lost in the finals to finish as runners-up.
Jordan Banwart finished fifth at 215 and both Junior Gallardo at 112 and Dan Martinson at 145 finished in sixth place.
Nashua-Plainfield was the runaway winner with Jesup finishing second.
