Dominic Stenzel, 86, Hartland

Dominic Walter Stenzel, age 86, of Hartland, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at his home in rural Hartland.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at
All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland. The Rev. Thien Nguyen will officiate.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, with a prayer service at 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.
Dominic was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Faribault County, the son of
Paul K. Stenzel and Balbina (Chicos) Stenzel.
He married Evangeline Faith Alice More on Nov. 16, 1948, in Waseca.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 during World War II and was very proud to serve his country.
Dominic loved his family and enjoyed spending time playing cards and visiting with them.
He did carpentry work and farmed all of his life.
Traveling to the livestock auction barn to buy small calves to raise was something he truly enjoyed. Dominic was always inventing or tinkering with something out on the farm.
Dominic is survived by his wife Evangeline of Hartland; his children and their spouses: Carol and John Creswell of Reinbeck, Iowa, Dale and Brenda Stenzel of Montgomery,

his grandchildren: Matt and Nicole Creswell of Reinbeck, Iowa, Steph and Ben Goos of Gladbrook, Iowa,

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Vincent, Raymond and Daniel; and sisters: Gertrude and Helen.
