Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 15, at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Lakeville, for Marjorie J. Emmons, age 81, of Bloomington, who passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, Feb. 11, 2007, surrounded by her family.Marjorie was born in Emmons on Dec. 15, 1925, to Melvin and Bertha (Larson) Christian. She was married 60 years to James Emmons.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; four children: daughters, Jean (Joe) Ritchi and Deborah (Jerry) Korba; sons, Charles (Darlene) and John; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Liala Harris; brother, Mervil (Betty); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Bertha (Larson) Christian; in-laws, the Arthur Emmonses; sisters, Dorothy, and Ardella Dybvad; and brother, Byrine (Bye) Christian.
