Orville Budach, 75, Estherville

Orville Budach, the son of Arthur and Matilda (Schwarz) Budach was born Oct. 22, 1931, at Minnesota Lake, and departed this life on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., at the age of 75 years.

Visitation was Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. at Henry-Olson

Funeral Chapel in Estherville, Iowa. Mass of Christian burial was today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick&8217;s Catholic Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Jerry Cosgrove officiating. Interment is at St. Patrick&8217;s Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences www.henryolsonfuneral.com.

Orville attended the Minnesota Lake area schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to the spring of 1954 in

Germany and

France. On

Nov. 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Carr at St. Mary&8217;s Catholic Church in Winnebago. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Blue Earth where Orville was employed with Green Giant. In 1966, the couple moved to Estherville, where Orville was employed with John Morrell until his retirement.

He was a member of the St. Patrick&8217;s Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. For hobbies, Orville enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing the guitar, old time music, old tractors and most especially spending time with his family.

Left to cherish Orville&8217;s memory are his wife, Kathryn of Estherville; children, Paul Budach and his wife, Roxanne of Estherville; Mark Budach and his wife, Betsy of Mount Ayr, Iowa; Don Budach and his wife, Maureen of Hastings; Joan Phillips and her husband, Mike of Worthington; Janet Budach of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Erin, Molly, Cole, Chase, Allie and Grace Budach, Jacob and Kathryn Phillips; brother, Duane Budach of Milwaukee, Wis.; sister, Norma Schneider of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Janice Budach of Brooklyn Center.

Preceding Orville in death were his parents; sister, Eileen Budach; brother, Marvin Budach; and brother-in-law, Harold Schneider.
