NORTHWOOD, Iowa &8212; The Corn Bowl Conference co-champion Northwood-Kensett boys&8217; basketball team placed four players on the various all-conference teams.

Seniors Cody Hanson and Dan Bestul were unanimous first team selections while junior Jordan Cotter was a second team member.

Senior Matt Hengesteg was an honorable mention all-conference performer.

The Vikings finished the conference season with a 16-2 mark and went on to win the Class 1A

state title.

The N-K girls&8217; basketball team had one second team member in senior Angie Sime and a honorable mention in freshman Kate Hartman.

The Vikings concluded the season with a 4-14 mark in the Corn Bowl Conference. The mark was a vast improvement for a young team that figures only to improve over the coming years.
