Semi hits train outside Bricelyn

BRICELYN

&8212; One person was listed as injured after a Freightliner semi-truck struck a Union Pacific train on Faribault County Road 21 about two miles northwest of Bricelyn at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday.

The name and address of the person injured will be released later, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Assisting the State Patrol at the accident scene were the Bricelyn Ambulance and the Frost Fire Department.

Two cited for meth possession

The Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office cited Peter Alan Woollard, 28, and Craig Jon Peterson, 25, with fifth-degree possession of meth at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday at 816 1/2 W. Clark St.

CD player reported stolen

A Pioneer compact disc player valued at $150 was reported stolen out of a vehicle parked at Central Park sometime between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, according to police reports.

Car reported stolen

A teal 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix was reported stolen at 10:24 a.m. at Curves, according to police reports. Reports indicated the vehicle was stolen sometime in the 30 minutes prior to the call to police. The car was signed as stolen.

Bike reported stolen from residence

A bike was reported taken from 616 E. Fourth St. at 4:54 a.m. Thursday, according to police reports. The bike&8217;s owner indicated the bike was taken from the house sometime in the past two days.
