Esther Ann Huston, 86, of Bricelyn

Esther Ann Huston, 86 of Bricelyn, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea, in hospice care, surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. Visitation will be Monday from 6 at 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Edward Nieman will officiate and burial will be in the Bricelyn Cemetery.

Esther A. Huston was born March 27, 1921 in Bricelyn, the daughter of Albert and Nora (Stoen) Oppedal. She graduated from Bricelyn High School in 1941. Esther was united in marriage to Armon L. Huston on November 25, 1943 at the parsonage at Dell Lutheran Church. Esther was a housewife, had worked at Stampers in Wells, the Bricelyn Coop Canning Factory and Winnebago Industries of Forest City, Iowa. Esther was fond of gardening, cooking for her family and visits from her children and grandchildren. She was active with the Bricelyn Lutheran Church circle and WELCA. She enjoyed being with her friends in T.O.P.S. and their activities.

She is survived by four children, sons: Jim (Sharrie) Huston of Zumbrota; Bob (Sherri) Huston of Hillsboro, Ore.; Don (Kathy) Huston of Albert Lea; and one daughter Cathi Moen of Austin; nine grandchildren: Andrew Huston of Indianapolis, Ind.; Chris Huston of Zumbrota; Samuel Huston of Manitowoc, Wis.; Jesse (Robbie) Huston of Manitowoc, Wis.; Jane Huston of Manitowoc, Wis.; Angela Huston of Manitowoc, Wis.; Julia (Scott) Thebiay of Byron; Shannon (Nikki) Moen of Bossier City, La.; Justin (Morgan) Moen of Mason City, Iowa; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Carlson of Faribault; one brother-in-law: Nyle (Darlene) Huston of Blue Earth and one sister-in-law: Junice Huston of Elmore.

Her husband Armon Huston, one sister Iva Hughes and two infant children preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
