Amos Soost, 9 days, Alden

Amos Elmer Soost, 9 days, of Alden, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester of complications of a congenital heart disease. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The Rev. Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Alden Cemetery in Alden.

Amos Soost was born Sept. 20, 2007, in Albert Lea, the son of Scott Charles Soost and Stephanie Ann Newman. Amos was a bright-eyed beautiful baby who was loved dearly by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will always be remembered.

Amos was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: John and Ruth Nelson, Elmer and Margie Soost, Elmer Newman, Glennis Gabriel and Fred Durfey.

He is survived by his parents: Scott Charles Soost and Stephanie Ann Newman; maternal grandparents: Steve and Cheryl Newman of Alden; paternal grandparents: Chuck and Barb Soost of Wells, and Kathy and Lyle Zinniel of Winnebago; aunts and uncles: Amy Newman (Tim Wetzel) of Alden, Marci (Trent) Wangen of Hartland, Kaylee Newman of Alden, Jeff (Kim) Soost of Buffalo Center, Iowa; cousins: Mason Wangen and April Soost; great-grandmothers: Dorothy Newman of Albert Lea, Geraldine Gabriel of Albert Lea and Trudy Nelson of Rochester.

Also survived by many great aunts and uncles and cousins.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
