Eunice T. Kuiters

Funeral services for Eunice T. Kuiters, age 87, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Faith Baptist Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dennis Seiler will officiate. Interment will be at the Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Eunice died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Thornecrest Retirement Center.

Eunice Theodora Kuiters was born on Jan. 9, 1920, to Emil and Matilda (Brand) Ruhnke in Hardin County, Iowa. She moved to Minnesota with her family in 1925. Eunice attended school in Hollandale and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She married Harry Kuiters on Dec. 29, 1938, at Harry’s parents home in rural Hollandale. She and Harry farmed together for many years in the Hollandale and Clarks Grove areas. Eunice was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where she was active as a choir member and taught the junior girls’ Sunday school class. She also was an associate member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Garden, Fla., where she and Harry spent their winters. Eunice loved gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Harry; daughters, Judy (Bill)

Moser of Cedarville, Ohio,

and Jane (Jim) Mone of Bloomington; grandchildren, Juleen (Bill) Smith, Troy (Sue) Mone and Doug (Danette) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Emilie and Ashley Benick and Zachary, Joshua and Ellie Mone; sisters, Adeline Spain of Albert Lea, and Marilyn Wolf of Chatsworth, Calif.; and sister-in-law Thelma Ruhnke of Midland, Texas.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughters Sheryl Moser and Susan Phillips, sisters, Beatrice Weseman and Maxine Bredlow; and brother, Butch Ruhnke.

Memorials are preferred to the Faith Baptist Church.
