Ida Marie (Gulbrandson) Nelson, 55, died on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at her home in Nelson, Wis., from a heart condition.
She worked for many years at Land O&8217;Lakes Union Center and the VFW in Albert Lea. She lived and raised her children in Albert Lea for 42 years.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
In 1994 she moved to Nelson, Wis., where she owned and operated the Top Hat Bar.
She was a member of the women auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion in Wabasha.
She is survived by daughter, Sheila Nelson of Alabama; son, Troy Nelson of Nashville, Tenn.; and son, Richard Nelson of Eau Claire, Wis.; five granchildren, Casey Crawford, Rico and Jazmin Amos, Molly and Ian Nelson; one brother, Marv Gulbrandson and his wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews; and life partner Jerry Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Gladys Gulbrandson, and sister Beverly, Gulbrandson.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday at Talbot Family Funeral Home, 30 N. Highway 35 in Alma, Wis., 54610, from 3 to 7 p.m.
She was loved and cared for by all who knew her and an inspiration to us all.
