Rebel runners take second in Waseca

The USC/AC girls&8217; and boys&8217; cross country teams both finished second to Waseca in the Waseca Invitational Thursday.
Jacob Elmer (second), Jordan Haroldson (third) and Eric Klein (sixth) all finished in the medals for the Rebels with Pete Trio (14th) and Paul Little (15th) also scoring.
Amber Erickson (ninth) was the top finisher for the girls followed closely by Andree Escherich (11th). Shelby Little (16th), Abby Trio (19th) and Hannah Goemann (24th).
The boys&8217; junior varsity team won its competition with an excellent score of 23 points. Jonathan Back was the individual winner in that race. Daniel Elmer (third), Andrew Penning (fourth), and Tommi Formella (fifth) led the Rebels&8217; JVs.
The girls&8217; JV team finished second in its competition. Kelsey Munson (fourth) and Rachel Brown (fifth) were the top finishers for USC/AC.
