Joseph Wittmer, 24, Wells

Joseph B. Wittmer, 24, of Wells, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, as a result of a car accident. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Art Keith will officiate. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Rice Lake Cemetery in Foster Township, Faribault County.

Joseph Wittmer was born on July 3, 1983, in Albert Lea, the son of Bryan A. and Brenda L. (Woyda) Wittmer. He attended Bricelyn Elementary School, Kiester Middle School, United South Central High School and graduated from Alden/Conger High School in 2001. During his high school years he worked at Parview Care Center in Wells in maintenance. Joe did carpentry work for several years with his uncle Rick Woyda. He had also worked at Fleetguard and was employed at McQuay International in Owatonna. Joe enjoyed working out at the gym and watching &8220;Wrestlemania.&8221; He enjoyed snow mobiling, motorcycling, hunting and jet skiing and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by: his mother Brenda Wittmer and special friend Gary Huper of Wells; his father Bryan Wittmer (fiancee Debbie Jacobsen) of Alden; one sister: Julie Wittmer of Wells; maternal grandmother: Thelma Woyda of Wells; paternal grandmother: Daphne Wittmer of Albert Lea; step-grandfather: Clarence Schroeder of Albert Lea; two step-sisters: Jaymie (Matt) Carolan of Dodge Center; Amber (Randy) Halvorson of Emmons; one step-brother: Brady Bye (fiancee Sara Weber) of Wells; and

many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Roger Woyda, and paternal grandfather, Marvin Wittmer.
