8-year-old dead after rollover

An 8-year-old child died in a rollover accident on Interstate 35 at 10:20 p.m. Friday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The name of the child from Kansas City, Kan., was not listed on the accident report.

This accident report said the 2006 Toyota was northbound on I-35 near mile post 2 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle reportedly rolled over, went through the median and across the south bound lane, and ended up on its top.

The driver of the vehicle was listed on the state patrol report as Vang C. Her, 35, of Kansas City. He was one of six people in the vehicle. The physical conditions of five of the people were not documented on the patrol&8217;s accident report.

Several arrested for DWI

Police cited Victor Lopez, 25, for fourth-degree DWI at 1:42 a.m. Sunday on East Main Street in front of Auto Zone, according to reports.

Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office deputies arrested Joshua Nathaniel Sumner for third-degree DWI charges at 2:59 a.m. Sunday after finding him passed out in his vehicle on 725th Avenue in Manchester, reports stated.

Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office deputies also cited Joshua Jay Courrier for fourth-degree DWI charges at 3:16 a.m. Sunday on 285th Street in Freeborn after receiving a call that Courrier&8217;s car was in the ditch.

Woman arrested for minor consumption

Police arrested Corina Elizabeth Adams, 19, for minor consumption at 625 W. Clark St., according to reports.

Man arrested for assault

Police arrested Eric Greer Rashan, 27, for felony domestic assault at 7:22 a.m. Friday after receiving a call of two men fighting in the hallway at the Bel Aire Motel on Highway 69.
