NICOLLET &8212; The Alden-Conger boys

put together two solid halves of basketball Tuesday night and easily downed Valley Conference opponent Nicollet 73-57 on the road.

&8220;The last two games we have really been on a roll,&8221; said Knights head coach Bill Hintz. &8220;They put some pressure on us and cut into our lead, but we were able to get back in the groove and come out with a win.&8221;

The Knights led by just six at the half but thanks to 25 of 30 shooting from the charity stripe were able to stretch that advantage to 16 late in

the game.

A-C had four players in double figures led by Mitchell Kleinschrodt&8217;s 20, Sam Hallman had 18, Paul Little added 15, and Matt Bremseth finished with 12.

With the victory, the Knights win for just the third time this season and improve to 3-6 on the year. They will host Martin Luther Friday in Alden.
