NRHEG girls down WEM, fall to Blue Earth

NEW RICHLAND &8212; Jumping out to a 34-13 halftime lead the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls&8217; basketball team dominated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Friday, 61-36.
Alyssa Kerkhoff led the way for the Panthers scoring 19 points while Alyssa Hagen had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kate Quam also reached double figures for the Panthers with 10 points.
NRHEG&8217;s margin of victory could have been even bigger had the team hit more than just 13 of 34 free throw attempts.
Monday, the Panthers fell to Blue Earth 53-39. Kristina Cole led NRHEG with 18 points, but the team never found a rhythm in the game falling behind by 13 by halftime.
NRHEG is 10-7 on the season.
