GLENVILLE &8212; After digging a 34-10 halftime deficit, the Glenville-Emmons boys&8217; basketball team opened the second half on a 19-3 run to close within eight at the nine minute mark. However, that effort required too much energy to push any further as the Wolverines lost 58-37.

Jake Kirsch led the Wolverines with 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

&8220;They play very tough and aggressive defense with a press and we had trouble with it tonight,&8221; G-E head coach Dan Fredrickson said.

Despite the loss, Fredrickson believes his team continues to show improvement every time it walks on the floor.

&8220;I have been preaching to the team that great teams don&8217;t do everything great, but they do the ordinary things well every night and that is what we want to do,&8221; he said.

The Wolverines are now 3-18 on the season.
