Richard White, 66, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Richard Herman White, 66, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bear Lake Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gary Hanson will officiate. Interment will be at Bear Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Richard died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Richard Herman White was born on June 17, 1941, to Ray and Louise (Bauers) White in Albert Lea. He attended Emmons schools. Richard married Donna Trae on July 9, 1966, at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.

The couple resided on the family &8220;century farm&8221; that was homesteaded by Richard&8217;s grandfather and Richard farmed there until he became disabled in 1999. Richard and his father sold a portion of the land to the county; which is now known as White Woods Park. He was a lifetime member of Bear Lake Lutheran Church and served on the church council. Richard also served on the Nunda Township board from 1983 to 2001. He loved draft horses, antique farm machinery and nature. Richard enjoyed civil war history, Elvis music and was an avid Vikings fan. He was very much a people person and Richards family was his pride and joy.

Survivors include his wife Donna; children, Brian (Amy) White of Albert Lea, Sean (Kim) White of Redmond, Wash., Kristi White of Albert Lea and Jessi White of Redmond, Wash.; grandchildren, Nicole Koester, Jacob and

Caleb White of Albert Lea, Ethan White of Redmond, Wash., and Aidan White who will be arriving in April; sister, Raymona Larson; brothers-in-law, Arlin Trae and Norris Trae; mother-in-law, Norma Trae; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, David Larson; and niece, Carolyn Cowles.
