Thomas Roche, 58, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Thomas J. Roche of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning will officiate. Visitation will be today from 4 until 8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a scripture prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be in St Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Tom died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 58 years of age.
Tom was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Albert Lea, the son of Joseph and Edna (Schull) Roche. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and Austin Community College. Tom was employed with Roche Electric, his father&8217;s business, since 1970.
Tom was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and was very active volunteering his talents to the church. He loved reading, gardening and cooking. He could be found at most area auctions always looking for a bargain. Tom enjoyed playing golf and the Electrical Association Golf Outing (The Kilowatt Open) was named by Tom.
Tom is survived by his parents Joe and Edna Roche of Albert Lea; brothers Bob of Albert Lea and Steven and his wife Marian of Albert Lea; sister Jeanne and her husband Dale Tatarek of St Louis Park; seven nieces and nephews: Heidi, Whitney, Christian, David, Elaine, Christopher and Kelsey; one uncle, Lawrence (Patricia) Roche of Albert Lea; and two aunts; Margaret (Leo) Hillesheim of New Ulm and Betty Roche of Albert Lea.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents; one brother, John, in 1990; and two uncles, Leo Roche and Frank Casterson.
Tom will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
