Lucille Nelson, 85, Rochester

The memorial service for Lucille K. Nelson of Rochester, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 525 W. Clark, Albert Lea. The Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the funeral home.

Lucille died on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Maple Manor Health and Rehab Center in Rochester.

She was 85.

She was born one of eight children to James C. and Ruth (Springer) Jenson. Lucille&8217;s seven siblings preceded her in death.

She graduated from Albert Lea High School and on Dec. 11, 1942, she married Clayton Nelson.

Lucille was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading her favorite author Anne Rule.

She loved engaging in a good political conversation.

She is survived by three daughters: Jeanine and her husband Frank Kusy of Mankato, Linda &8220;Lyn&8221; and her husband Robert Rone of Long Prairie, Lori and her husband Alan Callister of West Concord; grandchildren: Karen (James) Luebbe of Monument, Colo., Kris (Michelle) Kusy of Mapleton, Michael Rone of Fayetteville, N.C., Van (Anita) Rone of Long Prairie, Anthony &8220;Tony&8221; (Helen) Caquelin of Browerville, Melodie (Rick) Powell of Osakis, Tammie (Fraid &8220;Frank&8221;) Ahamd of Modesto, Calif., Molly Callister of Minneapolis, Gail Callister of Rochester, step-granddaughter Heidi Clever of Long Prairie; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clayton, infant son Steven and her siblings.
