Salvation Army asks seeks help during Food Share Month

How many hungry Minnesotans will there be in 2008?

That&8217;s all up to us: corporations, congregations, civic groups, schools and individuals. The March Campaign gives us the opportunity to help our neighbors in their time of need.

Minnesota is known as one of the best states in the nation at feeding its hungry and because of your concern for others we were able to assist many families and individuals who were facing crisis situations with food last year.

We continue to need your help as the number of people served through our food pantry increases. Would you consider a monetary contribution or a food donation during the Minnesota March Food Share Month? Remember everything donated whether food or money in the month of March counts toward the amount we receive in grant money to purchase food from Channel One Food Bank.

Food or monetary donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army, 302 Court St., Albert Lea. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
