The Spring Touring Minnesota Education Fair, sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling, will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at Albert Lea High School from 6 to 8 p.m. At present, around 100 college, university, technical college and military representatives will be on hand to meet with interested families.

&8220;We have two and four-year colleges from seven states that will be in attendance and also representatives from the military&8221; ALHS Counselor Rod Johnson noted, &8220;so there is something for everyone!&8221; While primarily designed to serve juniors and their families, it is appropriate for sophomores and seniors to attend, too.

The fair will be held in the gymnasium at the high school. &8220;We&8217;re excited about hosting this event at ALHS,&8221; Johnson said. &8220;The school believes the fair to be important enough that no athletic/music/drama activities are scheduled that night on purpose so that students and families can attend together.

This opportunity can assist families in making those difficult post high school plans. It is our hope that all ALHS families will take advantage of this informative evening.&8221;

ALHS extends the invitation to participate to all area high schools.
