Farris has been a member of U.S. Figure Skating since 1998 and currently competes at the senior level.

She is a member of the Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club and an associate member of the Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club. She is coached by Tracy Keefer.

Farris received her double gold medal on June 14, 2006. She was the 2005 Minnesota State Intermediate Ladies Champion and the 2008 Minnesota State Senior Ladies Bronze Medalist. Farris is also the recipient of the 2008 Bette Snuggerud Award, given to the senior lady who places highest at the Minnesota State Championships and has the best academic record for the 2006-2007 school years. Her weekly training schedule includes at least 12 hours of on-ice training and three hours of pilates and strength training.

When she&8217;s not training, competing or doing homework, Farris helps teach skate school at Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club.

Garrett Kling is 17 years old and a junior at Watertown-Mayer High School.

He has been skating for eight years and is a member of the Chaska Figure Skating Club. Kling is a three-time state champion and twice a national alternate. His coach of 8 years is Kristie Mitchell and his choreographers include Mitchell, Rohene Ward and himself. He would one day love to become a coach/choreographer and continue skating until he&8217;s in a wheelchair.

Kling plays alto sax in his school&8217;s concert band and jazz band, is active in his church and youth group and is a part of a public-access channel television show with some friends.
