Albert Lea sent four players to the annual Great 8 tourney earlier this month, and the team they played with won the cup.

The 2008 Ted Brill Great 8 Festival took place April 4-6 at Wakota Arena in South St. Paul.

The top 136 senior boys hockey players faced off against each other as section teams play section teams (1A/1AA form a team, 2A/2AA form a team, etc.) to claim supremacy in Minnesota.

Section 1A/1AA &8212; players from southeastern Minnesota &8212; won the tournament.
