Much of the winter snow has melted and revealed there sure are a few litterbugs around Albert Lea. Trash clutters our fair city.

The Albert Lea Tribune reader who suggested we write an editorial said, &8220;It looks like a landfill.&8221;

He was right. Winter was unlike the past few years in that snow covered the ground for the entire season. For more than three months, the responsible folks couldn&8217;t see the garbage left behind by the irresponsible ones. Now, plastic and paper abound.

It&8217;s time to pick it up. On the next nice day available, get out there and pick up the yard around your home, the space around your business or the area around your agency.

Let&8217;s make Albert Lea clean again.
