Epilepsy Foundation hosting Understanding Epilepsy workshop

More than 60,000 Minnesotans have epilepsy &8212; and yet it remains one of the most misunderstood health conditions. In an effort to educate, connect and empower more people across Minnesota, the Epilepsy Foundation is hosting an &8220;Understanding Epilepsy&8221; Workshop in Albert Lea.
The free &8220;Understanding Epilepsy Workshop,&8221; which is designed specifically for individuals with epilepsy and those that care for and about them, will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, Community Room, 821 E. Plaza St., Albert Lea, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on April 24. Sue Ringhofer from the Epilepsy Foundation will share information on seizure recognition and response and guest speaker Gregory Noon, from Cyberonics, will present on treatment options.
Participants will:
Learn about epilepsy basics, including Seizure Recognition & Response.
Discover programs and services available through the Epilepsy Foundation.
Connect with others facing epilepsy.
