Karolyn A. Christenson, 60, of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Traditions of Owatonna.

She was born March 31, 1948, in Owatonna, the daughter of Harold and Julie (Johnson) Johnson. Karolyn was a longtime resident of Owatonna where she graduated from Owatonna High School in 1966. She is a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She married Milton Christenson Sept. 1, 1995, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Karolyn is survived by her husband Milton of Owatonna; her mother Julie Johnson of Owatonna; two daughters, Melissa (and Ryan) Warner of Owatonna and Becky (Adam) Rein of Owatonna. She has four grandchildren; Bailey Watland, Hunter Warner, Gavin and Madison Rein; five step children; Jason (and Lauren) Christenson of Virginia Beach, Va., David Christenson of Owatonna, Sue (and Tim) Sullivan of Fridley, Patty (and Jim) Hove of Albert Lea, Steve (and Nancy) Lukens of Wapitan S.D. She has nine step grandchildren; Makala, KeyLea, Nicki , Brian, Ally, Cameron, Kevin, Mary, Timmy.

She is also survived by three brothers: Brian (and Carmen) Johnson Winona, Bob (and Trudy) Johnson of Goodyear, Ariz., Jerry (and Lynda) Johnson of Colleyville, Texas, and her many nieces and nephews and friend and family at Traditions.

Karolyn was a loving mother and enjoyed her grandchildren, volunteering at school, shopping and flowers.

Karolyn was preceded in death by her father Harold Johnson.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Traditions of Owatonna and MS society.
