Ralph Klingbeil, 66, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Ralph E. Klingbeil of Albert Lea will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Joel Vano will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Ralph died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester. He was 66.

Ralph was born Aug. 27, 1941, in rural Wells, to William and Millie (Bebler)

Klingbeil. He grew up in the Wells area and graduated from Wells High School in 1959. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Wells.

Ralph was baptized at his home and was confirmed at Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Ralph married Eleanor E. Schocker on Feb. 20, 1971, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They moved to Albert Lea in November 1973 and became members of

Zion Lutheran Church. While in the Wells area he farmed and when he moved to Albert Lea he became a steel worker working for Progress Casting. Ralph belonged to the AFL-CIO and was a past board member of

the Trades and Labor Credit Union.

Ralph enjoyed woodworking, traveling to his son&8217;s hockey games, working on his computer, and studying gemology. He was a very good cook. He enjoyed canning dill pickles, corn relish and baking. Ralph also enjoyed roller skating and fishing. Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Eleanor Klingbeil of Albert Lea; three children: Randy Klingbeil and his wife Kimberlee of Alto, Ga., Lisa Loge and her husband Mike of Apple Valley and Bill Klingbeil and his wife Amber of St. Paul; grandchildren: Justin, Vinnie, Phillip, Brandon, Zachary, Cole, Tyler and Dylan; great-grandchildren: Noah, Hana, Ally;

and brother, Raymond.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lorraine Gruntzke and Lois Oberg.
