Trever Benner, 7, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Trever Dean Benner, 7, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard Spande will officiate. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Trever died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at his home.
Trever Dean Benner was born on June 8, 2000, to Christine (Laite) Budrik and Brad Benner in Albert Lea. He was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church and attended Hawthorne Elementary School. Trever liked military and police officers and firefighters. He enjoyed watching movies, cartoons, cop shows, football and Nascar. Trever also liked playing his Gameboy, Play Station and listening to music.
Trever&8217;s family would like to express a very special thank you to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Albert Lea Police Department, Albert Lea Fire Department, Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office, Crossroads Community Hospice, its employees and volunteers. A very special thank you to Deputy Tim Bennett and Deputy Adam Hamberg for their kindness, compassion, friendship and for making all of Trever&8217;s wishes come true.
Survivors include his parents Ronald and Christine Budrik of Albert Lea; Brad Benner of Louisiana; brother, Tyler Caron of Albert Lea; sister Mackenzie Budrik of Albert Lea; step sister, Stephanie Benner of Austin; grandparents, Ronald and Becky Laite of Albert Lea, Ronald and Marge Budrik of Illinois, and Bill and Sandy Benner; aunts and uncles, Josephine Newton of Albert Lea, Ronald Jr. and Tammy Laite of Albert Lea, Dean Laite and Denise and Vince Vita of Farmington; cousins, Eric, Faith and Nathaniel Newton of Glenville, Madison Laite of Albert Lea and Samuel, Jacob and Daniel Vita of Farmington.
Trever was preceded in death by his grandmother, Genevieve Laite; and great-grandparents, Lila and Robert Kniss.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Trever&8217;s name be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Crossroads Community Hospice.
