The Albert Lea boys&8217; tennis team faced No.2 seed Winona in the section tournament Tuesday and lost 7-0 in its final team match of the year.

Senior Jon Bosma played No. 1 singles for the No. 7 seeded Tigers and lost 0-6, 0-6 and senior Drew Passingham lost 2-6, 2-6.

Juniors Ben Robinson and Joe Polis lost their matches against the Winhawks. Robinson lost 3-6, 0-6 in his match and Polis lost 1-6, 0-6.

Head coach Sean Gillam will miss the contributions from his seniors but now the impetus is placed on his juniors for next season. &8220;I think they give a good effort,&8221; Gillam said. &8220;It&8217;s very crucial that the juniors pick up the pace.&8221;
