On the Albert Lea city government&8217;s Web site, there is a notice of the three highest paid employees. This is the city&8217;s compliance with the state law for cities larger than 15,000 people. The law says the city must notify its residents of the its three-highest paid employees.

For Albert Lea, they are:

1. City Manager Victoria Simonsen, $98,374.

2. City Engineer Steve Jahnke, $85,258.

3. City Attorney Steve Schwab, $83,898.
