More than 150 people have already signed up for the April Sorensen Memorial Half Marathon, according to the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The 13.1-mile foot race starts at 8 a.m. July 12. The race runs from Albert Lea to Hayward using the Blazing Star Trail and South Shore Drive. No bikes, in-line skates, pets, stolles or personal music players will be allowed. The course closes at 11 a.m.

The half-marathon is part of Hayward Days, July 11-13. The awards ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. at Hayward City Hall.
