Bikes for Barker ride is June 28

The Fountain Centers Alumni Association is sponsoring Bikes for Barker, a bicycle and motorcycle ride to raise money for the Garth Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund, The fund assists students pursuing a career in chemical dependency counseling. The event will take place Saturday, June 28.
Motorcycles will leave the Freeborn County Fairgrounds at noon, and bicycles will leave the Root River trailhead, Fountain, at 1 p.m. All participants will converge at the City Park Pavilion in Lanesboro. The cost of the event is $20 per motorcycle and $10 per bicycling family.
A light lunch and live music will be provided. There will be a raffle for a laptop computer, flat-screen TV, cordless drill, DVD player and other miscellaneous items. Bikes for Barker T-shirts and other apparel will be available for purchase.
