The Minnesota State Patrol in Rochester held a news conference Thursday to introduce a new enforcement vehicle — an unmarked 2008 Dodge Charger. Troopers will use the automobile to address seat belt use.

“Each year around 200 unbelted motorists are killed in traffic crashes on Minnesota roads, another 500-plus motorists not wearing seat belts are seriously injured,” according to the State Patrol.
