Garry McGill

Garry Michael McGill, 59, of Carrollton, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Plano Medical Center, Texas. After a valiant battle with cancer, he suffered a massive stroke.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Arthur L. Keith will officiate.
Garry was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Albert Lea to Albert and Jennie (Woollard) McGill.
He graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1967. He attended Minnesota School of Business. Garry joined the U.S. Air force in 1968-1972. He proudly served in the Viet Nam War at Binh Thuy with the 619th Tactical Control Squadron. Garry worked in Mankato at Kato-light from 1973 to 1979. He moved to the Dallas, Texas, area and worked for AT&T as a customer service representative and later at Frito-Lay as an auditor. Garry loved to visit the ranch, cook, watch the Si-Fi Channel and eat snickerdoodle cookies. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Garry was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His easy smile, quick wit and warm personality will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
He is survived by: Mother, Jennie McGill of Wells; daughter, Teri Kratz (McGill) and husband Todd Kratz, grandchildren, Kain, Nicole, Katelynne and Rachael of Comfrey; son, Britt McGill and fiancé Ashley Melhiem, grandson Koby of Mankato; special friend and ex-wife Kathy Langdon of Cleveland; brothers, Chet McGill, and special friend Faith of Phoenix, Ariz.; Richard McGill and wife Dee of Stacy; Dale McGill and wife Sue of Apple Valley; Sister Karen Segar (McGill) and husband Mike of Ham Lake; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
