James Nutt

Funeral services for James Franklin Nutt, 73, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Assemblies of God. The Rev. Lee Freshour will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Military Honors will be accorded by the Freeborn County Veterans organizations. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
James died Monday, June 2, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
James Franklin Nutt was born on July 27, 1934, to James Robert Nutt and Hazel Grace Reeder (Mooney) in Pensacola, Fla. He grew up in the Des Moines, Iowa, area where he attended school. James served in the United States Air Force, after his dishcharge, James was employed at Wilson and Co. for 27 years. He was an active member of the Trades and Labor Union and a member of Assemblies of God in Albert Lea. James married Carrie Johnson on Dec. 14, 1985, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Albert Lea. He loved riding his lawnmower, snowblower and car.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie; sons, Patrick Nutt of Melborne, Fla., Michael Nutt of Austin, and Steven Nutt of Mason City, Iowa; brother, Wayne (Noreen) Nutt of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Sharon (Dean) Krafka of Northwood, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
