Minot State player ends strong career

Kendra Meyer, former Prior Lake standout and granddaughter of Curtis and Judy Nelson of Hartland, recently finished an outstanding basketball career at Minot State University.

As a senior, Meyer led her team to a 21-11 overall record and an amazing run at the NAIA II National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.

Meyer was named to the NAIA II Second Team All-American teams as a senior and earned All-American honorable mention as a junior. She was named the Dakota Athletic Conference MVP and a first team All-Conference selection as a junior and senior.

Meyer also broke the school record for most career points with a 1,710 and most points in a season with 610.

Meyer will return to Minot State in the fall to finish her double major in Mathematics and Finance and serve as a student assistant coach for the Lady Beavers.
