Sharon Jerdee

Funeral services for Sharon Kay Jerdee, 62, of Hayward will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Hernes will officiate. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Sharon died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Sharon was born on Jan. 30, 1946, to Kenneth and Burrus (Maricle) Jacobson in Albert Lea. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1964. Sharon graduated from beauty school in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Ronald Jerdee on Aug. 14, 1965, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Sharon worked as a beautician and later worked at the Heart of the Artichoke, both in Albert Lea. She was a member of East Freeborn Lutheran Church. Sharon was a very artistic person, she enjoyed crafts, making floral arrangements and restoring antique furniture. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, and loved spending time with her family. Most recently, her grandchildren and grandnieces/nephews gave her great joy. Sharon was a very generous and giving person.
Survivors include her husband Ronald; children, Chad (Carolyn) Jerdee of Geneva, Ill., Jeremy (Amy) Jerdee of De Pere, Wis., Jay (Heather) Jerdee of Rochester; grandchildren, Anna, Sarah, Jeremy Jr., Keegan, and Aidan Jerdee; nieces, Tara and Tiffany; and grandnieces and nephews, Karlee, Mya, Skye, Journey, Jacalyn and Anthony.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Jackie.
