Tim died suddenly, as a result of a heart attack, on Monday morning, June 30, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was 50.
Tim was born on Oct. 7, 1957, in Elkhorn, Wis., the son of Thomas and Barbara (Orr) Sosebee. He graduated from high school in Waukegan, Ill. Following graduation he served our country in the U.S. Army for four years, obtaining the rank of sergeant. When he returned from the service he obtained his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Illinois State University.
Tim married Sherry Warner on July 7, 1984, in Gurnee, Ill.
He began working at Payless Cashways in Illinois and then worked for United Building Centers in Manchester, Iowa. He continued working for United Building Centers moving to Rochester, and then to Albert Lea in 1987. He later worked as an agent for American Family Insurance and for the past six years at the Freeborn County assessor’s office. Tim was a great community advocate, being active in many different areas. He had been a member of the Lions Club and because of his care and concern for the kids of our community, had served as president of Albert Lea Tiger Girls’ Basketball Boosters. Spending time with family and supporting them in all their activities was Tim’s focus in life.
Tim will be greatly missed by his family: wife Sherry of Albert Lea; children: Tim Jr., Jennifer and Jessica, all of Albert Lea; his parents Thomas and Barbara Sosebee of Albert Lea; two brothers: Thomas Sosebee Jr. of Norway, Mich., and children Thomas III and Troy, Tracy (Pam) Sosebee and son Josh of Rossville, Ga.; father-in-law Donald Warner and his wife Evelyn of Monett, Mo., brothers-in-law: Robert (Pauline) Warner and Missy, Lorraine and Stewart of Pensacola, Fla., Donald “Skip” (Cia) Warner and Briana and Jason of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Warner.
If you knew Tim, you knew he loved life and lived everyday to the fullest. His teasing, joking and quick wit will always be fondly remembered.
