A woman was hit in the face with a rock Thursday during the Third of July Parade, causing her to go to the hospital. A few kids threw rocks, according to Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels, at a sign speaking out against illegal immigration. The rock missed the sign and hit a woman in the face. The woman was taken to Albert Lea Medical Center, Winkels said. The police report will be sent to the Freeborn County attorney for further action, he said.
