Was it too good to be true?

The Minnesota Twins were atop the American League Central Division on Friday, then the team lost Saturday and Sunday and returned to second place. Then the Twins lost again Monday in extra innings. What a bummer. Then they lost again Tuesday night. It’s stunning.

But you know what? We hold out hope that this team — a team a surprising number of “experts” thought wouldn’t go too far — will win the Central Division.

These guys have a lot of guts, and they go out and give it their all every game. It’s getting deep in the season, and they still go out there and just play hard and smart baseball.

It might come down to the wire, but when all is done, we’re betting the Twins will win the division or at least take a wild-card spot.
