Esther Houseman

The Funeral Service for Esther M. Houseman of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Esther was born on Oct. 29, 1910, Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Charles and Lena Galkin.
She had worked at the Fairmont Canning Plant, the Wells Banquet Foods, Wilson’s Packing Plant in Albert Lea and had also done waitress work.
She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
Esther died on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Good Samaritan Center.
She was 97.
She is survived by her brother Peter Galkin of Albert Lea and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers John, Fred, Bill and George Galkin and two sisters Norma Gore and Mary Pilgrim.
