Youth in Government benefits teen students

Youth in Government is a program held at the Minnesota State Capitol in January for eighth- through 12th-graders. Students get to learn about our state government and have fun at the same time interacting with students from all over Minnesota.

As a parent of two daughters that benefited tremendously from YIG, I encourage students to participate in this excellent learning opportunity.

District 241 allows students to attend this worthwhile activity. I encourage parents and students to contact the Albert Lea Family Y for more information about attending YIG. Registration forms are due no later than Friday, Oct. 3.
